La Cage aux Folles at the Marquis Theatre
BRYAN BATT (Standby Albin) La Cage Aux Folles marks Mr. Batt's ninth Broadway appearance; however he is most recognized
for creating the role of Darius in Paul Rudnick's play Jeffrey Off-Broadway,
in Los Angeles (Drama Logue Award), and in the Orion film oppositie Patrick
Stewart. On Broadway, he has had the pleasure of playing such diverse roles
as Lumiere in Beauty and the Beast; The Cat in the Hat in Seussical;
Monty (the disco Dee-jay) in Saturday Night Fever; Sir Percy in The
Scarlet Pimpernel; Joe Gillis in Sunset Blvd; Munkustrap in Cats; as well as principal roles in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor
Dreamcoat and Starlight Express. Other Off-Broadway credits
include Forbidden Broadway Cleans Up Its Act (Drama Desk nomination); Forbidden Broadway Strikes Back; I Love New York at Rainbow
and Stars. On T.V.: episodes of many daytime dramas, "Law and Order C.I."
and "Rescue Me." Recently Bryan is pursuing his second love; design,
and can currently be seen as guest designer on the Style Network's "Guess
Who's Coming to Decorate," and is the co-founder of Hazelnut, a fine
gift/home furnishings shop in his hometown of New Orleans. Always thanks to
